A meeting assistant with several recording methods, notes, discussion search and integrations. Teams need to consider capture and sharing rules as well as retention.

Choose the right recording method
MeetGeek supports bot-based online-meeting recording, bot-free capture options, uploads of existing audio and video, and in-person recording. The product is available through the web, applications and an extension. This gives several routes to the same task, but each needs compatibility, permission and participant-notification checks.
The service produces transcripts, summaries, highlights and searchable information from recordings. Meeting history can become shared team memory. Before connecting a calendar, decide which events really need recording: personal conversations and discussions involving restricted data should not automatically enter a shared archive.
Search and transfer to work systems
AI Chat and search help revisit past decisions, while automations and integrations transfer results to CRMs, team channels and other tools. A public API is documented separately, and MCP supports AI assistants. Plans determine resources, features and permissions.
A verifiable result matters more than the number of connections. Notes need correct participants, dates and next steps. If an obligation is identified, find the part of the conversation where the person accepted it. Automated distribution can spread an error quickly across several work systems.
Example: a weekly project update
Agree on recording and prepare a short agenda. Review the summary against three questions: what was completed, what is blocking progress and what was agreed for the following week. Correct names and deadlines, and label options that have not yet been chosen.
Check recipients before sending confirmed material to the team's space. Enable automatic sharing only after checking templates and access rules. Use search to retrieve an earlier decision at the next update, but do not let it replace participants' current positions: circumstances may have changed between conversations.
Free hours and retention
MeetGeek offers free Basic and paid tiers. These differ in transcription volume, text and media retention, exports, automations and team administration. Audio may be retained for less time than transcripts; this matters for later checks of quotations and disputed assignments.
The main workspace requires an account. An application, offline capture or an enterprise storage option does not establish fully local AI processing on an ordinary plan. Before a large upload, check download options, deletion rules and access. An API helps automate work but does not remove the need for permission to process the original conversation.

Practical example
- Task
- Create work-meeting minutes
- What to prepare
- A recording of a work meeting made with participants’ consent, plus a list of correctly spelled names.
Task brief or prompt
Task brief: identify the meeting’s decisions, assigned people and unresolved questions. Do not assign responsibility to someone unless the participants explicitly agreed to it. Check every disputed point against the recording.
Expected result
Draft meeting minutes with decisions and questions; participants must confirm any assigned tasks.
How to check the result
- Check names, deadlines and agreements against the recording.
- Remove invented tasks and obtain consent to process the conversation.
