Official website

LTX Studio is a video preproduction and production environment with its own LTX models and scene management. Users assemble a sequence of shots, refine imagery and motion, then review the video on an editing timeline.

A story told in several shots

A short story needs more than an impressive generated clip. Characters, location appearance, motion direction and event sequence must remain consistent. LTX Studio supports this workflow: from an idea and storyboard to individual shots, movement and editing. Developed by the Lightricks team using its own video models, the platform's additional modes and available models change over time.

First the storyboard, then the movement

In the studio, you can start with text, images and scenes, build a storyboard and change settings for individual shots. This lets you agree on composition before more costly video generation. Camera controls, scene elements and editing tools help refine results but do not guarantee precise execution of every movement.

Editing and generation capabilities should not be merged into one promise. An individual shot's duration depends on the chosen mode, while a longer story is assembled from multiple clips. Check in advance what can be exported and which project elements will remain editable in your intended workflow.

Example: a short scene about the workshop

Take a simple story: someone opens a workshop, turns on a lamp and starts working at a table. Divide it into three shots. Specify the focus, camera direction and action for each. Check static versions first: is it the same lamp, has the furniture changed, and is the door's position clear?

Then animate suitable shots. Review the beginning and end of each clip: a hand may disappear behind an object, lighting may change direction or the camera may jump to the other side. Editing helps join successful pieces but cannot resolve every inconsistency in the original generation.

Before starting a series, agree on which discrepancies are acceptable in the concept. A change in a tool's shape or a door's position may go unnoticed in one frame and become obvious in the next shot.

What does the LTX software ecosystem mean

The developer has a separate API and open models, along with other interfaces. An open LTX model does not mean the entire Studio web service can be installed locally or runs for free on any computer. Compare programmatic integration, the cloud studio and local options as different access methods.

For commercial work, separately check rights to images, characters, voices and music. Visual continuity between scenes, motion physics and lettering require manual selection regardless of the chosen mode.

Credits and usage terms

The web platform offers free and paid plans. The starting free balance is limited; it cannot be represented as a permanently renewable unlimited generation. Part of the features and license for commercial use are available only in appropriate paid levels.

Before subscribing, estimate how many attempts you will need for one approved frame and one approved shot. Account for repeated generations, upscaling and editing changes, as well as the finished video's duration. Check exact prices and credit usage in the studio's current pricing table.

From task to first result

Practical example

Task
Prepare a storyboard for a short story
What to prepare
A brief for a single shot; for image-to-video mode, an original frame of your own.

Task brief or prompt

One calm shot: the camera slowly moves toward a cup on a wooden table by a window. Morning light, a gentle movement of steam, a still background. No scene changes, text or sudden movements.

Expected result

A short shot to select and edit later, without a promise of exact motion reproduction.

How to check the result

  • Check that objects retain their shape from frame to frame.
  • Watch the beginning and end for camera jumps or unwanted scene changes.

An editorial teaching example of a task brief, not the result of hands-on testing of the service. Check that the required mode is available, that you have rights to the source material and that the intended use of the result is permitted.
