A tool for musicians working with an existing recording

Moises turns an ordinary mix into practice material. Users upload a song, choose an available separation mode, then mute their own part or listen to one instrument. Unlike a text-to-song generator, the main input is existing audio to analyze, learn or use in permitted creative work.

The product is available in browsers and desktop and mobile applications. The current home page also presents Moises Studio for shared sessions. Separation, practice and collaborative recording are related but distinct workflows; check the specific application and plan before moving an entire project.

Tracks, chords and speed

After separation, you can adjust part levels, use solo or mute, and change tempo and key within available limits. Chord detection, a metronome and section looping help with difficult passages. Check suggested chords by ear and on your instrument: complex arrangements can have ambiguous harmonic interpretations.

Outputs include a rehearsal mix or separate tracks, subject to plan formats and permissions. AI lyric recognition is a supporting feature; correcting displayed words does not change the recorded performance. This matters if you need a new vocal phrase, rather than a convenient practice caption.

Example: learn a bass part

Use your own recording or one you may process, and select a mode that separates bass. Listen to the part alone at normal speed, then slow down and loop a difficult transition. Bring the rest of the mix back, mute the original bass and play your version over the backing.

Do not mistake drum or vocal leakage for notes in the bass part. Compare several bars with the original and choose a useful separation setting. Before an offline rehearsal, check file availability and application mode: an installed app does not prove fully local processing.

Free uploads and extended plans

The free plan limits upload counts, file length and separation types. Premium and Pro extend capabilities, but individual operations and models may have their own conditions. The documentation explicitly states that deleting an uploaded file does not restore a used free upload.

A workspace uses an account. Check download formats and feature suitability against your plan; music rights remain a separate matter. The related enterprise Music AI platform's API is not automatically attributed to the consumer Moises application. A public API for this specific product and fully local execution remain unconfirmed here.

From task to first result

Practical example

Task
Mute your part for rehearsal
What to prepare
A permitted song recording and a specific passage of the part you want to learn.

Task brief or prompt

Task: choose a separation mode containing the required instrument, listen to it alone, slow the difficult passage with available settings and loop several bars. Then mute the original part and play over the accompaniment. Check suggested chords by ear and on your instrument.

Expected result

A practical rehearsal mix and checked reference points for the part; downloads depend on the device and plan.

How to check the result

  • Do not mistake leakage from another instrument for notes in the target part.
  • Return to the original tempo after slowing down and check the rhythm.
  • Verify automatically detected chords.
  • Check exports or file availability before an offline rehearsal.

An editorial teaching example of a task brief, not the result of hands-on testing of the service. Check that the required mode is available, that you have rights to the source material and that the intended use of the result is permitted.
